Alison McGregor

Alison has extensive operational, governance and leadership experience in the highly regulated financial services sector. In addition to being a Beatson Cancer Charity Board member she holds Non-Executive Director positions with Scottish Power Energy Networks, Confederation of British Industries and has recently been appointed to the Board of Fidelity Special Values PLC. She is the Co-Chair of the Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board and sits on the Glasgow University Adam Smith Business School Board. 

Previous positions include CEO HSBC Scotland, Board member Scottish Enterprise and Chair of CBI Scotland. In 2017 she was awarded Scotland Corporate Leader of the Year Award at Scottish Women’s Awards. In 2018  she was recognised by Action for Children as Woman of Influence in Business and received the Woman in Banking and Finance UK award for Achievement. 

Chocolate she can resist but champagne she cannot. She is a faithful old dog who likes long walks and the sun on her back.
